Dragon

Darkness. All around me was darkness. Darkness so pure it was like being sucked into a black hole. The only noise was the quick in and out of my breath as I waited, waiting for my fate. I closed my eyes, trying to calm down, but nothing soothed the fear that enveloped me, suffocating me. Suddenly, I heard a thump that echoed throughout the chamber. Then another. I opened my eyes, suddenly alert. I could hear my heart, beating so fast I thought it would jump out of my chest. More and more thumps as the creature slowly made its way toward me. It stopped and instead the air around me got hotter and hotter. I looked up to see the monster, staring at me through its beady eyes, getting ready to burn me to ashes. I tried to run, but the enormous beast's beauty and deadliness tied me in place. The dragon opened its gigantic mouth showing rows and rows of huge dirty teeth, covered in dried blood of its past victims. I finally saw a small light, that penetrated the darkness as it grew bigger and bigger and brighter and brighter until suddenly, all was dark.
