No it didn't mean anything
When I was dancing with him
Eyes seeing each other
But only on the surface.
Of course it meant nothing.
Even when he took my hand
In his, when he leaned in for that kiss
Sat down by the bar side by side,
But barely talking, only laughing.
It meant nothing on that dance floor,
Nothing in the night time when
The pitch black is broken
By neon colours bouncing
Around the room, those
speakers blaring music,
Our ear drums drumming
To the drumming song,
Our feet tapping on the
Rubber floor. It meant nothing
Thay we danced all night
Meant nothing that we kissed
He was nothing compared
To those other times.
With other guys I cared about. Without
The fuss without the sounds.
Without the dancers all around.
No, it meant nothing.
For when the lights
Turned on and the
Music stopped
And we walked
Right out of those
Heavy doors...
We didn't say a word.
And our gazes couldn't meet
We never even said goodbye.
Sat upon that taxi seat.
