Every morning I wake up, and think today is a new day!
And then I'm quickly reminded, as I look down at where you lay.
Today is just like yesterday, I can see it on your face
This emotional relationship is impossible to replace.
There are no hugs hello or kisses just because
Just snide remarks and insults of who you wish I was.
In my head I'm scared, why can't you see my fears
Why can't you gently hold me and wipe away my tears?
I'm losing this battle that I shouldn't have to fight
I'm throwing in the towel and calling it a night.
My dream is to wake up and say today is a new day
And smile as I look down at where you use to lay!
