The remainder of my day was a blur; all that happened was the average. Nothing else happened out of the ordinary today. Before I knew it, it was 3:30pm and my German teacher was telling the class to pack their bags to go home. As I turned right out of the corridor I saw a group of girls huddled in a big group blocking the whole corridor. This has never happened before because usually none of the girls care about most of the stuff that happens in this school so therefore he don’t get blocked hallways. I thought that whatever they were giggling about had to be important but then I found it more important to get home in time to do my maths homework. Then, as I pressed my back against the wall trying to squeeze past the girl giggling at the back of the group I managed to see what, or should I say who they were giggling at. Stood in the middle of the group was Dan. He looked different than when I first saw him. He had changed his jumper to a plain black one with a hood. He still had his slight spikes in his hair but I managed to see what colour it was now. He had nice light brown hair with aqua blue eyes. No wonder all the girls were all weird around him. Then as I came to my senses I remembered I had to go home and then walked away from the group of Dan’ girls. As I did I gave the group a quick look back and surprisingly I found Dan smiling at me whit his warm smile and his pink lip’s through the group. I couldn’t to anything but smile back at a smile like that, but soon the group of girls engulfed him again until I couldn’t see him anymore. As I went to turn around again I bumped into someone. I look up and recognised the brown pony tails and the skirt with red paint splattered all over it. It was Chiara. “Oh sorry Sophie!” she said with a slight rush in her voice “hey, don’t worry about it, I was the one who wasn’t looking” “ok then. I was looking for you anyway” “what for?” “I was going to ask you if you wanted to be a member of our basketball team” “umm... I don’t know” “oh please! We really need just one more member and I know you are really good at basketball” “it depends. When do you need me?” “Friday night, 5:30pm till 8:30pm. Its a game against other schools” “What! I haven’t been to a single practice and you just asked me to play in a tournament” I said with surprise. Maybe a little too much surprise” “Yep” she said trying to do puppy eyes even though she knows it doesn’t work on me “Oh airtight then. B but you owe me one.” “Yes!” she screeched out a bit loud “the team are going to be delighted” then she proceeded to the big group of girls. “Move out of the way!”She bellowed “dev is coming through” it didn’t make them move out of the way so instead she just pushed through waving her arms all around in a weird fashion. Chiara is a nice girl but she can be a little strange sometimes. For example one day in R.E she was talking to a girl called Esme and later on she said that everyone had to call her the devil, or dev for short. No one knows what happened in that conversation but I can defiantly say that it was weird.
I walked out of the school gates and started to walk home. As I did I said bye to Adela and all of my other friends and crossed the road. I started to walk up the hill when I sensed someone behind me. It was my sixth sense again. As I looked around I saw no fashion sense guy walking up not too far behind me. As he is closer now, he seems a lot older. About 38 years old. I knew that if I stopped something bad was bound to happen so instead I just kept my head down and broke into a fast walk. I decided to not take the short route home, and take the scenic route instead to try and loose him in the park because I know my way round better that he did, I hoped. Then without warning I heard a clunk. I looked back and found my pencil case rolling down the pavement. I looked up to find no fashion sense guy staring at me with eyes of laughter. “Hey. My names William” says no fashion sense guy I just give him a wiry smile and start to back my way up the hill. “Why are you so scared of me?” says William, even so it sounds like a rhetorical question. “I'm not scared of you” I stammered back in my strongest voice. “Something tells me you are” he says with a smirk “Well... umm...” I try to find words but they seem to be hidden in the back of my mind. “Something tells me you’ve met them” he said calmly but with a slight quiver of his top lip. “Them?” I took a step closer out of curiosity “Our boys. A right friendly bunch but can be quite harsh to strangers. But boys being boys they are a handful and a half and require a lot of looking after” he said with a chuckle on the end. “Have you got the right person? I mean, I don’t know any boys like that” I wonder in the back of my mind whether he’s referring to Joe, Dan and that weird boy with the package outside my classroom widow. “Oh you will. This time next week you will know all about them. Look forward till then. Bye” before I could say another word; he turned around and was walking back down the street and was crossing the road. When the coast was clear I headed back down the path and stopped just in front of my pencil case and picked it up. I examined it for a while and then crouched down and unzipped my bag. I popped in my pencil case and zipped back up my bag. I stood up and saw a figure on the other side of the road. From the first look I could tell it was the same person who was outside my classroom window. He’s wearing the same sunglasses with the dark film as he did before and he is wearing a dark blue hat. I felt like walking up to him and asking what he is playing at but then I realize that it is probably for the best if I stay away. I stand there for a while just looking at him. He then tilts his chin up and looks into my eyes. He smiles at me and chuckles causing his chest to rise and fall. He then removes his hat and runs his fingers through his hair to push it back. His hair is a shimmery blonde colour. I don’t know whether it’s to do with the light but he seems to have slightly lighter ends to his hair. He then places his hat back on his head and walks away. My life is just become weirder and weirder by the second I thought.
After a while I found myself at the top of the hill. I could take the back route through the alley way which is the slightly quicker route. Or take the normal path alongside the road, but that route is slightly longer. I thought to myself for a little while and decided to take the alley way because I needed to get home as quick as I could and the events that has happened has slowed me down quite a bit. It’s now 5:27pm. Where did my day go? Everything seems to have just gone too fast. Then I remembered that the last time I took the back alley route there was a gang of boys and I just survived a near miss. Maybe it’s still too early for them I thought hopefully.
I stood at the entrance of the alley way. I took a deep breath and urged my legs to move. The alley way then started to curve until I couldn’t see the entrance anymore and then the path straightened out. I then started to hear talking. Then as I got closer it became louder. I thought I should carry on, only because it’s quicker than turning back. Then I turned a curve in the path and saw some light seeping onto the ground I looked up and saw the exit. But, to my horror I also saw a group of boys, about 16-18 years old sat on either side of the low walls each holding a can of drink in their hands. As much as I wanted to I couldn’t turn back because they’ve seen me. I decided to keep my head down and fast walked to the exit. Then I the corner of my eye I saw one of the boys nod to another and then he jumped off the wall and landed right in front of me blocking my path. I slowly looked up to see a shadowed face of a boy; he was roughly 17 years old, black hair, dark eyes and a black hooded jumper. Then all of the other boys jumped off and started to make a circle around me. Escape was impossible. “Umm... excuse me” I said in a quiet uncertain voice. The boys started to chuckle between themselves and then a boy who was behind me walked up to me so that he was directly in front of my face. He had Blonde hair, brown eyes and a slight moustache across his top lip. He looked older than the rest, maybe he was the leader or the one in charge of the group. “so.” He said in a stern, hollow voice “you think we should just let you pass?” he was now looking deep into my eyes. I didn’t say a word. I daren’t say a word. “Do you think this alley way is free?” he said in the same tone whilst observing his surroundings. I kept quiet. There seemed to be a block in the back of my throat making me unable to speak. “Well, if you didn’t know already, you have to pay a price before you can leave” he said with slight smirk evident on his top lip. He was also looking around for approval from his mates who were all laughing and smiling with him. “Umm... what’s the price?” I was surprised that I manage to find my voice even though it came out in stumbles of speech. “Well, what have you got on you?” he said whilst exchanging glances with the boys surrounding me. Before I could say another word I felt my arms being held behind me and a hand held over my mouth. “Now then boys, let’s see what she’s got” he then ripped my bag of my shoulders and dropped it on the ground. I heard the clunk of my lunchbox when it hit the ground. I struggled and tried to pull away from the grasp of the boys behind me, but it was no use; I wasn’t strong enough. The leader then zipped open my bag with brute force causing some of the stitching to come loose. I felt completely alone. I couldn’t do anything to help myself and all I could do was watch this group of thugs destroy my belongings. “Oh, look here guys. Look what I’ve found” said the leader in a patronising voice whilst beckoning his mates over. He then held up a key ring. I strained my eyes to see what the picture was because I owned quite a few key rin
