Tiny fairy lights twinkling, Music murmuring, Guests anxious, Breeze breezing.
She peers around the corner, She sees her parents...proud, She can't help but smile, This is her day.
18 roses line up nervous, 18 wishes wait hopeful, 18 tokens stand proud, Everything is ready.
Her father tells her, Tells her he loves her, Tells her he's proud, Tells her she's always his little girl.
"Please welcome your debutante!" On the arm of her escort she is led down, All eyes on her smiling, Some eyes on her crying.
The father stands to give her a dance, The first rose for her, The first dance with her, The father-daughter dance.
Other guys follow, Grandad, Uncle, Cousins and friends.
Eighteen wishes from her friends, Eighteen wishes they have for her, Wishes they wish to come true, Wishes of happiness and love.
The eighteen tokens, For her to use in future, For her to keep, For her to cherish.
The end of the night comes, All the dances danced, And all the wishes wished, She is now a young woman.
