Hi. I'm jess and have been best friends with Elektra for ages. Until something happened. Something I regret very much...

It was a cold morning and I had just tiptoed out of bed, when the phone started ringing. Quickly, I raced over to it and answered it. "Hello?" I said. The voice on the other end was familiar. "Hi jess!" my BFF replied. "Oh, Elektra" I mumbled not really wanting to talk. "What's up?" she said. "Oh nothing" I answered. "Good, now I need to tell you something important." she mentioned. "Go on then!" I beckoned. "Will you visit me here in Somerset, like, on your own? I froze, and dropped the phone. Elektra was very adventurous, whereas I was more of a, cuddle up on the sofa type of girl. I hated outdoors. The amount of rubbish and chewing gum on the streets was unbearable. So I never wanted to visit anyone who didn't live in my house, let alone village! Cautiously, I stole some of mum's money from her purse and went to pack a bag. I understand if your confused. I don't want to go, but I have to see Elektra. I haven't in years. Well, at least 2. I didn't really know what to take, so I just packed some food and drink and a coat and swimming costume in case. I popped a few plasters in my pocket to be on the safe side. I lifted the bag up, and headed downstairs, (by the way I wore my clothes to bed so I'm not in my pyjamas) I twisted the handle, and out I went. It was freezing in my tiny little pink top and skirt. I didn't exactly know the way, but I had to stay strong a work it out. There was a small path ahead of me, a really beautiful one with thick growing ivy and gorgeous succulent flowers. I walked down it for about half an hour and I came out on a huge emerald field. There were amazing red flowers with petals of blood all around. There was a strange looking man in the field. I decided to ask him for directions. But as I got nearer, it became clear that something wasn't quite right. "What's your name then, darling?" he asked me. I felt rather uneasy. "Um, Jessi" I said. "Ah, nice little Jess." he said. "Yes, um, must go, bye" I said all in a rush. He gave me a funny look and shooed me away. I ran. Across the field was a little farm. I saw amazingly gorgeous horses and other things. Soon, after tireless minutes of walking, I met a pond. With stepping stones. "Uh-oh" I said. I approached the first one. With a bit of a wobble, I hopped on to the second. The third looked especially hard, I wobbled, and then dropped into the cold water. I screamed. I swam to the edge and climbed out on to the muddy bank. I walked for 2 more hours and then I needed a break. I opened my bag and munched a bar of chocolate for some energy. After that, I stood up and started to walk. This is where it happened. In the distance, I could make out four older boys. They were the gangster type with their boxers on show and spitting on the floor. Then, one of them pointed at me. I ran to the left. They chased me. Fear crawled through my body, as I used all my breath and courage to get away. I looked behind me, and that was my mistake. I fell into a horrible patch of sinking mud. "Ahh!" I groaned. My heart skipped a beat as the boys got nearer. "There she is!" one of them called. It was horrific. I was there, unable to move, and they were there, able to kill me. I let out a whopping great scream, as a brick hit my back from behind. I moaned in agony and looked behind me. There were about twenty other boys on the other side. "Please, leave me alone!" I shouted. "Ahaha!" one of the taller ones called. They dragged me out and bullied me. I ran for my life. I ran across a lovely beach and into the sea, right into the sea. Until I couldn't swim. I gasped for breath, but something had caught my foot, some seaweed. Eventually, I stopped breathing and that is where my 10 years of miserable life ended.
