May the river flow backwards the current against the wind
I paddle forever staying in one place
I keep going trying my hardest
Heart beating its fastest
Disappearing beneath the surface I'm faced with the fear of dying
But instead I feel relieved and warm, truth finally surfacing
I see my grandmother with all her health and love, the wrinkles in her almond eyes perfection flowing as the river does
Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust
Memories, trials, love and lust
All the kings horses
And all the kings men
All proven unworthy to save me from drowning
Care for a darling as she is laid to rest for she is much happier
