By Gemma Doyle. Miranda's parents heard her scream and ran to the kitchen but she was in her room. Then they saw the paper on the floor and picked it up. Headline: "Army truck 4512 catches fire due to terrorist attack appears to be no survivors" "Oh my gosh.." mom slapped her hand on her mouth to stop her tears but found this difficult. Dad finished for her "That was the truck Tom was on..." "I-I-I'll go c-console Amanda" Mom sobbed. "No leave her be she's crushed already. And you can't console someone when you need to be consoled Maria." (That was the mom's name) Dad Told her. "I-I-I just need to be alone." And ran to her room crying. Dad sat down in the kitchen. No tears came but he felt like he needed to but he wanted to be an example for his family and console them. Him crying would be the last thing they needed. But "my son..." He thought "My dear son..." And a tear trickled down his face and disappeared in his beard.
