-NATE- "Can you pass the salt?" Tiffany asked as I passed it over to her. "You sure do love your salt, don't you?" I said, chuckling. "Problem with that Nathaniel?" "Hey, did I tell you off for it?" "What are we doing tomorrow?" she asked eagerly, tucking into her salmon which was now suitably dusted with salt. "It's a surprise" I said, winking at her "What would you like to do?" "So basically you haven't planned anything?" "Of course I have I just..." I said, trailing off. Truth be told, I had planned something, but I really wanted it to be a surprise. "We should go diving" "Can you scuba dive?" "Yeah, can you?" "Yeah but I never knew you could?" I said in shock at this late revelation. "Didn't you? Well yeah, I can. We need to go tomorrow" "Sorted" After moments of silence, with the clattering of cutlery against china acting as an incessant soundtrack, I took her hand which was resting on the table. "What's up?" she asked me, after I'd gazed at her for a few moments. "I'm just taking you in. I can't believe I'm married to you" "You do realise how gorgeous you are, don't you?" "That's not the point. Just the thought that I might have one day ended up with Mollie instead of you is enough to turn my stomach and make my heart sink. Now I think back to when I was in that empty relationship, I keep wondering why I didn't notice you in the first place" "And when I remember back to it, I wish I'd kissed you a lot earlier" "I'm so glad you took that risk" "I am too" I said, gazing deep into her mysteriously deep eyes that I was finally beginning to unravel. "Let's go back" she said suddenly, pushing her knife and fork together. "Sure you don't want--" "All I want is to sit on the beach with you for a few minutes" she interjected, still locking my eyes into hers with her seductive and entrancing gaze. "I'd like nothing more. Could you please place this on my tab?" I said to the waiter as he passed us by. "Certainly, Mr Cole" he said, as we began to get up. "Your boat is waiting outside" "Thank you" I said, as I escorted my bride out into the speed boat once again.

-TIFFANY- I closed my eyes for a few seconds, enjoying everything from my other four senses. It was dark outside as it was, so there was very little to see, but closing my eyes enabled me to finely tune my other senses into an overdrive. The smell wasn't a conventional seaside smell. Something about this air was calming; perhaps it was some form of essential oil or a scented piece of foliage, but whatever was making the sea air slightly fragrant was an indulgence. This same floral scent was making its way into my mouth, making visions of swirling tropical flowers cascade throughout my mind as I savoured the taste of the meal and the air. Beneath my fingers was the familiar feel of the finely ground sand, which was a lot softer than most sand on other beaches. It was cushioning me, moulding almost to my body shape, leaving debris against my black dress. It was pure in the fact that no rocks or other debris was present along its surface; only Nate and I were breaking up this white sheet of heaven. My ears were filled with the harmonious sound of the sea lapping against the beach, not violently like the sea in the Hamptons occasionally was, but a relaxing and therapeutic sound that was making me feel intensely relaxed. There was a light breeze rustling the trees, taking the edge off the summer night's heat. "What are you thinking?" Nate suddenly asked, breaking up this bombardment of my senses. "I'm thinking how gorgeous this is. But I know as soon as I open my eyes the person in front of me will beat this island's beauty hands down" "Aww aren't you adorable" he said, pulling me in closer to him using the arm that was already draped around my shoulder. "If you say so darling" I said, opening my eyes and feeling the wind catch my hair. "I do" "I love hearing those words" I said, remembering back to the wedding. "I do too. I can't stop saying it now!" he groaned. "I don't mind, say it as often as you want!" "Okay, I will" he said, settling his head on the top of mine. He suddenly exhaled sharply, making me turn my head to see what was wrong with him. "Nate? What's wrong?" "Your hair blew into my mouth. Not that I don't love having your hair in my mouth, but..." "Oh, sorry!" I said, laughing and settling back down on his shoulder, before sweeping my hair onto my other shoulder. "We should probably go back to the house, it'll get pretty dark soon" It already was dark, but we both knew the night sky could get even darker at any point, without us knowing how rapidly that would happen. "I'll race you back?" I said, jumping up and running through the sand, high heels slung over my shoulder. "Oi! Get back you little cheat!" he joked, sprinting after me into the unknown.
