-NATE- "Morning honey" I said, turning my head as soon as I woke up to see Tiffany's peaceful face. "Morning Mr Cole" she replied, placing a hand on my cheek and pulling herself in for a tender kiss. As it ended, I glanced behind Tiffany's head to see something I knew she wouldn't like to see. "Tiffany baby, don't turn around" "Why not?" she said, starting to twist her head round. "Don't!" I cried, pulling her back in for another kiss. Her eyes closed as she drifted off into a land of ecstasy, but I kept mine firmly open, keeping a watch on the spider that was positioned on the other side of the bedroom window. It posed no threat to us as it couldn't get in, but I knew that wouldn't make any difference when Tiffany saw it. "Why don't you go into the bathroom?" I suggested when I broke the kiss. "Nate seriously, what is--" she said as she darted her head round quickly, freezing in shock and fear when she saw the window. The spider was black as the night, with eight long limbs about a centimetre in diameter. Overall it was larger than her head: bigger than most spiders on the island, so we'd obviously had an unlucky pick. "Come on" I said, scooping her up and carrying her towards the other room, glancing around for any others. "I'm going to be sick" she said, diving out of my arms to kneel over the toilet. "I'll be back in a few minutes baby, I'll get rid of it" I said whilst stroking her back. After finding a long enough stick and opening the window, I managed to flick it off the window and into a deep ravine which held piping. I then walked carefully outside and placed a large piece of wood over the hole in the ground, to trap the spider. I decided to make this the new 'spider bin' and decided it was a slightly more humane way to remove them, whilst still keeping my wife happy. "I'm back; I've created a spider bin and I've removed the spider. Aww baby, you look terrible" I cooed, kneeling alongside her to hold her. "You must have been pretty scared" "I was... But I've never been that scared in my life. I've never thrown up after seeing a spider before" "Maybe it was just bigger than any other. Anyway, let's get ready" I said, noticing how distant and quizzical she looked. "Yeah okay" she said, weakly standing and following me into the bedroom, which had been de-spidered.

-TIFFANY- As we lay on the sand surrounding the private paradise, I couldn't help but let my mind wonder. I'm renowned for over thinking things: analysing the most trivial things to make them out to be preposterous. I suppose that was what I was doing now too, as I lay out on my Ralph Lauren beach towel, bikini on and oversize sunglasses over my eyes. Nate had gone for a swim in the ocean, and I was left here soaking up the sun's rays and some much needed vitamin D. I thought about being ill this morning. It was funny that I'd never felt safer when I'm with Nate, but I'd obviously been scared enough after seeing the spider to be sick. It was playing on my mind all morning that perhaps that wasn't the real reason I was sick; and at lunch I decided to approach the matter with Nate. We got our speedboat, and dismissed the usual driver, with Nate claiming he could drive it. Turns out he can, which was quite a shock, but I enjoyed it anyway. "So there's this deserted part of the sea round here that's got the most amazing views down into the coral, but isn't anywhere near any islands" he explained, whilst I sat and guarded the picnic we'd packed using the few supplies that were in the fridge. When we reached this place, I realised how idyllic it really was. The idea of it made me a little sceptical, but now I was here I realised how gorgeously serene it was, and how the peace and quiet made it such a romantic spot. As the midday sun beat down on the sea, and the sea reflected the rays strongly back up to us, I decided to remove my sundress and wear just my mint green plaid bikini, that Mollie also owned. "Wow, hello!" he said, staring at my body that was now being revealed. "You've got some nice colour on your skin" he said, climbing up onto the nose of the speed boat, which was anchored down now. He lay out on its white exterior, before turning onto his side so he could eat. "You look incredible on there" I said, joining him. After we'd eaten, and my stomach had turned with nerves a couple of hundred times, I decided to broach the issue with Nate. "Darling, you know this morning" I introduced the topic, trying my hardest to remove the slightly forlorn undertones in my voice "Well, I don't know whether fear was what caused me to.. You know" "Sure it was, I'm not that bad at kissing am I?" he joked. "But seriously baby, you don't need to he embarrassed about being scared, I don't mind" "No it's not that. And you know you're an amazing kisser, so shh. But I've never been that scared. And I've never felt so safe before in your arms, so I really don't think I can put it down to fear" "Okay, well what other conclusions have you come up with?" "That's the thing. I haven't. I just feel like one possibility is screaming at me, but I really want to ignore it" "What is it baby? You can tell me" he said, placing his hand on top of mine and rubbing it gently. "That's the thing. I don't want you to get your hopes up, because I love you too much to see the same look in your eye as when we lost--" "You think you're pregnant?" he interjected, his expression a mixture of shock and delight. "I don't know. I don't feel the same as normal, but please don't get your hopes up. If I crush them again I won't be able to live wi--" I was cut off by him launching on top of me, hugging me so tightly I felt like I was struggling to breathe. "Nate" I squeaked from underneath him. "Oh sorry" he said, stroking my stomach. "Please don't..." I said, looking across at him and into his welled up eyes. "Let's go to the nearest pharmacy. Right now" he said, jumping down into the boat and grabbing onto the wheel. "Nate stop!" I said, sliding back into the boat and taking his hands. "If this doesn't happen I don't want it to ruin the honeymoon. Why don't we leave it until we get back?" "But I need to know, like right now!" "No you don't. We were perfectly happy about ten minutes ago, so let's just carry on like that. Please?" "But..." he protested, like a small child who wants candy when his parents have refused. "Shh. Now come and lie back down" I said, leading him by his hand over to the front of the boat again. "I love you Tiffany" he whined, still worked up from his earlier display of excitement. "Come on, hold me" I ordered, resting my head on his chest, and pushing him gently down so he was lying down. "Can we please go and buy--" "I'll just refuse to do it. Please, I don't want to ruin this trip" I protested, placing a hand onto his chest so I can graze over the surface of his skin, enjoying the feel of his muscles that we're rippling with excitement. "I feel like a daddy you know" "I'm pretty sure you don't. Please can we forget about it for the rest of the week? I want this trip be about us as a couple, not about anyone else" "If that's what you want, then I'll try my hardest. I'm so proud of you baby" "I'm proud of you too"
