Tiffany spent the rest of the evening drifting around the place, with a slightly confused face that was mixed with extreme concentration.

People spoke to us as a couple but they rarely got an answer from Tiffany.

"Babe, will you please be a little more social? There's only so many times I can say your medication has made you tired"

"Sure sure. I've got to make a call now, okay?" she said, gesturing for Mollie to join her outside.

Charlie shuffled over, before asking what was going on with Tiffany.

"I have no idea mate, she says she knows something about that girl over there, but she doesn't know what" I said, nodding towards Victoria who was looking across with a pen in the corner of her mouth.

"I think she likes you" Charlie said, elbowing me lightly.

"Yeah, maybe she does. Shame I'm taken hey?" I said "She could be quite hot"

"She's got nothing on our two though!" said Charlie, smirking as he remembered something.

"I agree, but what are you smiling at?" I said, beginning to smile myself.

"I'm lucky, that's all. First of all that you and Mollie broke up, and second of all that Tiffany threw us together"

"Sure mate. You don't mind taking my leftovers though?" I said, as he turned to punch me on the arm.

"Just because we aren't all perfect like you!" he retorted.

"Hey, wanna take this outside?" I said, outing on my best gangster voice.

"Alright then bud" he said, swaggering out to where the girls were stood.

"What's up?" Charlie said, still adopting his street-wise persona.

"Shhh" Mollie said, as Tiffany stepped away still on the phone.

"What's going on?" I mouthed to Mollie.

"I don't really know, but she's got a PI on the phone. She's determined she knows Victoria from somewhere, she just doesn't know where..." Mollie replied, quietly.

Charlie and I both nodded in understanding and waited with Mollie, waiting in anticipation for what was happening.

"Can you give me as much information as you can on Victoria Batkin?"

"How did she get her surname?" I asked Mollie.

"Various sources" she said, smiling up at me. "Okay, we looked at the list of guests"

"That's better!" I said, looking back across.

"Okay, thanks" Tiffany said, hanging up.

"Feeling better now babe?" I said, putting my arm around her.

"Kind of... I'm just a little confused still" she said.

"Come on, let's go home" I said, kissing her forehead.

"Okay, we should say goodbye to some people" she replied, still sounding distant.

"Sure, good idea" I said, pulling her closer.

After saying goodbye to a few dozen people we left, arm in arm.

"Are you sure you're okay babe?" I said, wrapping my arms around her and hugging her.

"I'll be okay. I just can't put my finger on it... And I don't know what to do. I'm worried this is going to ruin our time here" she replied, walking away from my embrace.

"Hey, come back?" I said, rushing behind her. Her long, slender legs striding at a strong pace, her shoes delicately clicking as she stepped over the paved entrance. "Baby? What have I done wrong?"

"Nothing" she replied, getting into the car emotionlessly.

"You don't seem that way" I said, looking across at her expressionless and silent face. "Okay then, I guess we'll just go home and Will can comfort you as he always does" I said bitterly, putting the key in the ignition and starting the engine. Underneath the roars of the engine, we didn't hear Mollie running towards us stating that she'd got Tiffany's phone.
