-NATE-
"I don't think this is an appropriate reason, please save this until later" the priest decreed instantly, not even looking at Jeremy. "I can now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride" Finally, the moment I'd been waiting for had arrived, but when I put my hand back on Tiffany's cheek, I couldn't help but feel two confused and angry eyes on me, trying to drill holes into me, and I knew exactly who's the were. I pressed my lips against Tiffany's and I could tell she felt the same way as our kiss was slightly half hearted. As the crowd clapped and a few cheered, we walked down the aisle together, with Mollie behind us. We could tell that with every step we took, she was reaching the conclusion, and that also as soon as we were out of these doors, she would verbally attack us, and make us explain everything. I seized this opportunity to look around the audience and see all the many smiling faces beside us. On the one side, was Tiffany's family, and she was walking on that side of them, and on my side was my family; my mother and father on the front row, and no Joe, as he'd had to move over and sit with Ellie just before the service began. Then there was my extended family; the distant relatives as well as aunts and grandparents. Then there was a few friends from school, but not many. And behind them, was members of the press and a few acquaintances. I smiled at as many of them as I could, and received the many "nice one"'s I had mouthed at me from the youth in the crowd. When we reached the doors, they were opened for us, and we finally saw daylight. This was our first public moment as a married couple, and it couldn't have been better. We stepped out onto the streets of New York, and into the flash bulbs of the many cameras that surrounded us, like an angry mob. We stepped down the steps, and at the bottom, I kissed Tiffany amidst the confetti that was falling. She leaned back, in a traditional stance, giving the photographers exactly she shot they wanted of us as a fresh young couple. As we broke the kiss, I noticed her eyes had been open the whole time, and the look in her eye was one of fear. I understood exactly why, but I knew she would need to get it off her chest as soon as we got into our car. We walked forward, smiling graciously at every camera, until we reached the road. There was no car there, but we knew there had to be, so to try and ease this moment of awkwardness, we continued to pose for the camera, and I slipped the scan photo back into my pocket. We heard the beep of a horn behind us, and the car that pulled up was certainly a shock.
-TIFFANY-
"Mrs V!" I shouted as soon as she stepped out of her vintage Aston Martin. "Tiffany, darling. Here's your car. Traffic's a nightmare!" "Don't worry. Oh thank you! She's gorgeous" "Isn't she? Good thing she looks like her owner isn't it?" Mrs V said, handing me the keys. "Haha you know you're gorgeous" I said to Mrs V, kissing her on both cheeks. "I meant you dear. You look gorgeous, and so does your new car" "What..? You mean?" "It's your wedding present, yes" "Oh Mrs V!" I cried, embracing her. "Off you go now, I'll see you at the reception" she said, backing into the crowd to stand with my mother. I stepped in the car, and started up it's engine. Nate sat beside me, and offered to drive. "It's too late now, isn't it?" I laughed, all the worry fading from my body. After we'd driven down 5th Avenue, and waved at everyone before leaving, Nate turned his body so he was looking at me. "Whats wrong?" I said to him, glancing across. "We need to decide what to do about Mollie. What are we going to tell her?" "I don't know. There's so much to lose, but at the same time, maybe it was good she found out now" "I can think of better days other than the happiest day of our lives, but I see you're point" he said, turning back around. "I think we need to tell her. I mean, I know things will be hard with her after all this, but I'm sure all three of us can pull through it. And at least we have each other, right?" I said to Nate, placing my hand on his knee and looking across at him. "Eyes on the road please!" he said, mocking the way I always speak to him. "Sorry Miss!" I couldn't help but sneak a peak at my new husband though, his face illuminated by the spotlights of sun that managed to pass either side of the car's sun blinds. One was hitting him directly in the eye, making me appreciate deeper the colours in his brown eyes: not only were they made up of a rich chocolate colour, but also flecks of hazelnut and caramel that weren't visible in daylight. They had an almost amber glow about them; a warmth that only the sun possessed, and was now passing onto Nate. I slowed down as we hit a small bit of traffic, sitting patiently before absorbing more of my husband's complexion. It was almost as if I was seeing him through a new vision: like I'd taken off the glasses of my youth and more naive years, and had replaced them with adult spectacles that allowed me to see more than I had ever done before. He turned his head to ask my opinion on something, as we carried on moving. As he did so, I seized the opportunity, kissing him tenderly on the lips. "Are you trying to get us killed?" he said, pulling away from my kiss and fixing his eyes back on the road. "No. I'm sorry. I've missed you though, please can we just go somewhere? A tiny hotel, anything! I just want to be with you" "We've got to finish our wedding, remember? That's why you're in that dress?" he said, stroking the soft material. "I'll pull over then. Just for a few minutes; I need to have you all to myself for just a while before everyone else shares you" "Sweetheart, I love you very much, but in a few hours we'll be on our way to the honeymoon, and then we'll have all week when I'm all yours" he said, putting his hand on top of mine and squeezing. "Hmm fine. Don't complain if I'm not in the mood later though" "I won't. I promise!" he said, chuckling. "Good. Are you ready to face all these people then?" I said, gesturing to the huge crowd that had already gathered outside The Plaza as we pulled up. "Are they serious? There's about a hundred more than we'd anticipated!" "Welcome to life as New York's answer to Kate and Wills" I said, kissing him on the cheek and climbing out of the car as a butler held it open.
