-TIFFANY-
Nate knew exactly what to do in this circumstance. He kept kissing me, more passionately and slower than before, but I was still not enjoying myself as much as I could. I knew Mollie had my back covered, but I still couldn't help but tense my back muscles, waiting for something to hit me; be it an object, a hand or just abuse and words. Nate started to kiss down my neck, and then he hovered just below my ear so he could whisper "Don't worry baby, just follow my lead" So I followed his lead, continuing to kiss him for a good three minutes whilst we both listened in on Mimi and Victoria's conversation. "Its great to see you but why aren't you staying with Nigel and setting up?" Mimi asked, reclining again. "Oh, I finished a while ago and thought I'd come and find you and my three favourite socialites" she said, hissing. Then there was a pause, which is where I hoped Mimi was looking at her with distaste, or indicating that she knew about her family ties, but as I was too engrossed with my boyfriend I couldn't see the two of them. But then I remembered who could: Mollie. All the time we'd been kissing she'd been sat awkwardly alongside us trying to bear sitting next to Victoria. I carefully broke the kiss with Nate, and looked across at him. The look I gave him spoke volumes: I told him about Mollie, and how guilty I felt, and I hope he understood that was why I couldn't kiss him anymore. So instead I spoke up, knowing this would seem week and like I was avoiding Victoria, but truth be told I was. "We're going to go out now, Mollie do you want to come?" I said, not giving details about where we'd go. "Oh yeah, sure" she said, smiling warmly at me and noting the fact that I had recognised her social agony. "It was great to see you Mimi, I'll text you later about dates and all that kind of thing. I'm so sorry we have to leave, but it's almost 4pm now and we're going out this evening so we need to start getting ready! I hope you don't mind?" I said, my voice increasing it's pitch at the end, forming a polite question that she couldn't say yes to. "No no, you go, it's fine! We can stay for longer though right?" Mimi asked, sitting up slightly. "Of course you can! Stay for as long as you want!" I replied, knowing in my head they wouldn't last more than an hour as they were in a residents beach and they weren't residents. We turned and left, me in the middle holding both of my companion's hands. I looked out to sea once more, past the wisps of Mollie's blond hair that were fluttering in the wind, and out into the slightly murky blue open. The sea birds above us were cackling, and there was the sound of children's merriment as we walked along. Ahead of us was an idyllic scene; a family of four was seated on the sand, building a rather magnificent sand-palace. The children looked about 5 and 7 years old, and as we were gazing at the scene that was unfolding in front of us, Nate squeezed my hand and whispered "That could be us soon" and kissed me behind the ear. My heart melted, and suddenly the thought of having children with this god of a man seemed like my only goal in life. I dreamed of one day sitting on the sand with Nate and our numerous children, building sandcastles and eating ice creams, without a care in the world. We stepped around the family, but I couldn't help but look back. I smiled as the woman looked at me, and she smiled back, understanding the reason I was staring in adoration. "I love you, Nate" I said quietly under my breath. "I love you too" he replied. "I can hear you, do we all have to whisper or something?" Mollie joked, smiling sarcastically across. I laughed and shook my head at her, "Very funny. We just don't want you to feel bad. Why don't you text Charlie and get him to come to our place? We'll decide what we're going to do about Victoria there and it'd be good if he was there" "Okay, I will" she said, pulling out her phone and sending a brief message to Charlie. Ahead of us we saw our goal; not just the jetty that signals the start of our land but also the thought of a better future, free of Victoria, and with Nate, always.
