I jogged around the town today,
The least i could do for Jesus' sake,
People were wearing headphones,
Trying not to look that awake.
People looking down,
I'd better not smile.
Jesus is my shield,
Let's jog another mile.
I'm coming into the country now,
An old woman smiles and I wave as I go past,
The terrain is hills and gullies,
But Jesus is there to keep my footing fast.
People looking up
Better smile back
Jesus kept going
Even with a cross on his back
Returning home through unknown estate,
The people are weary and keep well back to let me pass,
The road is flat and Jesus urges me on,
It's harder jogging when the battle is not won.
I'd better keep praying
Use my strength everyday
I'd better keep hoping
I follow Jesus' way
