I'm sitting in my sailing boat, Staring into the sapphire sea, I look above the white tipped waves, And something fascinates me.

I stand above the rocking ocean, And gaze at its polished skin, I wonder what's beneath the waves, And jump and dive right in.

My hands break the sun licked sea, As I dive beneath the sky, My eyes adjust to the deep blue depths, And through the water I fly.

Past rainbow fish and further still, Through coral reefs of sand and stone, Past pirates gold and buried treasure, Past fossilised and sunken bones.

I pause to admire the beautiful scene, Atlantis, a Kraken and the Titanic, Among the serene and luscious view, I sit as still as a praying mantis.

My lungs burn, So I swim up and surface, I gasp for air, Not one lungful I waste.

I climb onto my boat, And I admire the view, I'm breathing gently, and thinking deeply too.

I look at the cityscape, And they think they are saved, But they'll never know what goes on, Beneath the waves.
