I went down to the riverbank On that warm spring day, The jade frogs were splashing And scurrying away.

The frogs' suits of green, Looked like the one you wore. The camouflage suit you were wearing, As you walked out through the door.

The dragonfly was flying, Lazily in the air, No problems for him, Not a worry, not a care.

The river was filled with a magic, A feeling hovering all around. The emerald moss was creeping toward me, And there was not one sound.

And I blew up one balloon, A balloon so blue, And I tied my wish to it, And off it flew.

My wish was for you, From a girl so alone. My wish was for you, daddy, To finally come home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For all the army kids and families.
