Lately I've been thinking, What if I had said yes? Maybe I wouldn't have gotten, Into this whole mess.
What if I was never born? What if I'd chosen right? What if I took the narrow road, Or what if I died tonight?
What if I had a different name, What if I fell in a hole? What if I was born into poverty, And never had a belly that was full?
What if I got lost in the woods? What if there were unicorns? What if I chose the wrong way of life? What if I lived in scorn?
What if I decided to go crazy, Would my parents still love me? What if I wanted to go explore, The deep and wide, blue sea?
With the pillows extra fluffed, These what ifs fill my head, What if I never thought of what ifs, As I lay peacefully in bed?
Time flies speedily toward you, Giving a new surprise each day. But enjoy life; laugh and love; You'll never know what will come your way.
