Sitting down on her soft cabin bed, Catherine smiled to herself. She was a daydreamer. A daydreamer who couldn't stop thinking. What did she think about? The thought of others, their life stories and mostly she thought about her parents. As sad as Catherine felt at times she was not an unlucky girl in everything. For Catherine lived a fruitful early life, in the east in fact. Her parents had a luxurious house full to the brim of material possessions just none with sentimental value. None except that rocking horse. The young girl would sway on it for hours admiring the chestnut carved wood in oar.

Catherine's thoughts were interrupted by the captain

"we are now ready to set off on our journey to Scotland. Please relax and take in the surroundings." Catherine was not exactly fond of Scotland, partially because the last time she went she was frightened off by men in skirts and making loud noises from some horn type instrument.

*Knock knock*

Catherine saw a man appear at her door and beaconed him in. He wore a smart white uniform and looked like a serving boy. Unaware that he was being judged the teen lad smiled at Catherine. She smiled back cautiously as something didn't seem right with him. And sure-enough as the boy lent down to collect Catherine's empty tea pot she noticed two black bruises on the back of his neck and what looked like a bite mark!
