Now I know that some people think that this frame of mind may not be cool or very independent thinking but....
Being British is just so great it makes my heart swell with pride to think of all our tiny island has accomplished, all it is capable of and the wonderful people it contains. Well... I hear you say. I know we are f*%£ers too. Wars, slavery, acts of criminality and depravity and not all of it lies in the history books but in the news today. However when I see how much we do for charity both home and away, the creativity that spins from us in all ways, our fighting spirt and tenacious ability to keep going. It makes my sense of national pride glow. We are kind, loyal and proud. I am looking forward to us showing the world just what British spirit is all about during our hosting of the Olympics. Yes we can do better, let's all try. A little change can make a big difference and maybe this is the perfect time to start! Being British is great!!
