I stare into the blackness, Unable to sleep. My heart misses you too much. Like a knife stuck in me, deep.

I stare into the blackness, My eyes sore and tired, but. I see your beautiful face, Whenever my eyes are shut.

I stare into the blackness, Thinking about every event. When you made me laugh and cry, The tears that fall I can't prevent.

I stare into the blackness, My eyes blurry and damp. The tears rolling down my chin, I know I look like a tramp.

I stare into the blackness, Fatigue is closing in. I close my eyes for one last time, My slumber is only thin.

I stir into the blackness, My sleep restless as I dream. I grumble and rustle in my bed, Waking up with a scream.

I stare back into the blackness, Beads of sweat on my fore-head. I'm panting in fear and sadness,

I dreamt that you were dead.
