You're walking down the street, you see a man covered in tattoos and the first things that come to your head are words like alcohol, motorbikes and crime
The man you commented on just a moment ago could be the best person, a charity worker and father to 3 beautiful children and living in a middle class dream, or he could be a thief, drunk and a horrible person. but the first things that come to your head are those words. The person hasn't even opened their mouth.
You next see an teenage girl, walking down the high street alone, (which is a big change from the usual teenage mobs that walk down that road) dressed in a checkered shirt and jeans, walking head up smiling at passers by, what do you think, what words fill your head at that moment. If I saw myself walking down the street I would think nothing of myself, I'd think I was just a normal teenage girl, who's biggest problems would include makeup on the morning and deciding which member of one direction is cutest.
But that's probably the polar opposite of me, as in the first case of the man who might just like tattoos.
I'm sitting on a bench outside closed down remains of my favourite shop in town, Magpie books, and just looking at people, I must look so creepy to passers by, sitting there with my battered brown notebook open writing, I've been in town for 4 hours now, shopping and eating lunch just looking for writing inspiration.
So this opuss is just to say, nothing is as it first seems
