This opuss is about guilt, and what it can drive people to. (it's pretty much an expansion on my last post)
Guilt Is a very scary idea, a self destructive force that can be caused by so many things...
Guilt can lead to excess drinking, smoking, drug use etc but it can lead to much worse emotional things than that...
Guilt can change your moral ideas. I know people That guilt turned into a whole different person, which is in many ways Is just like the Once-Ler.
The Once-Ler became his greedy, selfish awful Alter ego the Greed-Ler due to guilt, he felt ever increasing destruction of the valley was his fault, which it partly was. But as demand increased and more and more pressure built upon his shoulders he became a selfish monster which is sad because he's cute
