A tear streamed down his pale face. His mud brown eyes were aimed at me in disbelief . His round chapped lips opened and closed over and over again, but no words ever came out.
This never ending cycle of being awake for a minute, then being asleep for hours was really starting to annoy me. It continued for a week. Then gradually I managed to sit up, stand even.
Before I knew what I was doing, I leaped out of the hospital bed which I had obviously spent the night in. I felt a massive pain in my left leg, I screamed in pain.
I lay in the sand, eyes shut. The sun beamed bursts of colour everywhere as little droplets of rain fell on to the sand and my face. Luckily this made my tears camouflaged.
