" Ha Ha lets see what we can do to this one then" laughed a tourist as he drove their boat over the poor, innocent turtle. " That was fun lets do it again" he chortled as the boat, even faster and harder this time, rode over the confused turtle, this time scraping more skin off her head. Then he drove off without a care in the world. Some passers by were appalled by these actions and called the rescue centre. Luckily the rescue centre managed to get there in time and save the turtle. After she was treated, she was given to Scarborough sea life centre, where she was given a loving home. They named her Antiopi. Antiopi still lives today and is between 50 and 60 years old! But because of her tragic past, she is partially sighted and cannot be released back in to the wild. Last year the sealife centre raised over £10000000 For saving the turtles and I hope you can help raise more.
