Julie Whitely woke up. 3:00 a.m. "Dreams," Julie mumbled. She wiped the sweat off her forehead and went to the kitchen for a glass of water. She climbed up the stairs and went back to bed. She tossed and turned and finally went to sleep.
A blowing place with gold weeds you need to go... For there is something about you that you need to know...
A golden field was before Julie's eyes. She ran over the hills to a clear area. Julie woke up to the sound of her alarm clock. "Seven o'clock already?!" Julie exclaimed. She went down stairs and had breakfast. At school, Julie and her best friend Samantha Richards sat on the grass. As they talked Julie heard a scream. Suddenly, her body was flung across the quad, when she landed she heard gunfire ring out. Her body was in so much pain, and then the bullets hit her. Such pain! Julie had never felt any thing like that in her life. Her vision started to fade as the masked figures swiftly passed through the school doors.
The golden field was all around Julie, "Humph. Great, the stupid field again." As she placed her hands on her hips, she felt something weird. "What the..." she placed her hand on the hilt of a sword. "A SWORD! Mom doesn't even let me touch fake ones." "Ah, there you are Gwenne, said a voice behind her, when she turned around and saw the owner of the voice, heat rose up into her face. He had to be the hottest boy she had ever seen. Brown hair, blue eyes, tall, and tan, the perfect boy, but he looked strangely like Julie/Gwenne. "Gwenne, mother is worried sick about you. After I hit you on the head during our training, well, mother went into a mad frenzy saying that you would not remember a thing. She sent me to get Sir Oswin the herb master, and then she passed out. And by the way you will still holding your sword, no one dared touch you." he said as he embraced her. "Do I know you? Because if I don't I would love to know you." she said trying to sound cute. "HAHAHAHA. You know me I'm your brother Cedric, you do know me right?" he replied. "Oh." she sounded sad, "Wait, did you say Gwenne? My name is Julie." "Maybe mother's mad frenzy wasn't so mad after all. Lets get you home sister!" he said, then he whistled and two white horses trotted over the hill and went to them. "Lets go home Gwenne." Cedric said. "No!" she said. "Gwenne, my dear sister. Please let me get you to mother, for she is dreadfully worried about you; Nay, they all are." Cedric pleaded "Fine." replied. "Thank you. Here, mount so we may return home.î As he mounted Gwenne asked, "How do you get on?" "Wow, I must have hit you harder than I thought." He dismounted and helped her up. "Where are we?" she asked as he remounted. "HAHAHA!! Dear sister we are in Chessermill Valley. We live just outside the city of Reynolds. But you know that." Cedric replied. "Of course I do." Gwenne lied. And onward they rode.
"When will she wake up? I'm tired of being quiet!" said Julie's little brother James, a hyperactive 6-year-old. "Shhh. James we need to be really quiet in a hospital since a lot of people are trying to get better." replied his mother. "I WANT SISSY!" James screamed. "Shush your mouth right now or no Dora the Explorer for a week! Your sister got hurt really bad." "Is she DEAD?" he asked. "No, but she could be. Just like her friend Samantha
