Chapter 5 LOVE:

"I suppose it is!" he chuckled, not even becoming the slightest bit shy. I weakly smiled and helped myself to a menu. "What you having...uh..No Name..?" "Hmm," he got himself a menu too. "The carbonara sounds nice." "Yeah it does! Two carbonara dishes please, with garlic bread!" I told the waiter. "Yum garlic, lucky I have some mints!" No Name laughed quietly. I smiled, before looking deeply into his eyes and frowned. "Wait a minute, I swear your eyes look kinda red from here..." I muttered. "It must be the...the...um lighting. Anyway we forgot to order a drink. What do you want?" he explained, blinking rapidly...again. "Just water please," He nodded and called the waiter back. "Could we have one water and one small cider please?" "Cider?!" I said, astonished, after the waiter went away. "Yeah, it's nice," he casually replied. "What the! Your seventeen!" "And? It's a small cider, I'm nearly eighteen anyway." I just raised my eyebrows in amazement, how did the waiter even let him order it? I thought more, and began. "Uh...can you tell me your name now..?" "It's pretty normal, it's just Zack." he replied, sipping his cider. "Oh, okay," I answered, frowning at his drink. We ate our meals, talking to each other about random things.

"Are you still okay for studying tomorrow?" he asked, opening his car door from me. I stepped in. "Yeah, sure. Five right?" "Yes, thank you for joining me with dinner tonight," he said. I smiled, although soon became wide eyed as he traveled very fast down the road. "I-uh...Zack? Just saying...but, erm..you are going eighty miles an hour!" I panicked. He shrugged at me. "Is this your house?" he questioned, pointing out my plain home. I nodded reluctantly, wishing I had a bigger, nicer place to live. "It's nice, I'll see you tomorrow!" he waved as he sped away. My head spun as a flopped onto my bed after a cold shower. Was he hitting on me? I had loads of questions like this flooding my mind, I eventually thought myself to sleep.

*HONK! HONK!* "What the-" I mumbled to myself, looking out the window to find Zack waiting there, leaning against his car casually. I glanced at the clock it was 8:30! Ooops! I slept in! I hurried some makeup and some clothes on. Then skipped breakfast and headed out the door. "Hiya!" I puffed, tired from rushing around. "Hello beautiful," he smiled as he opened his car door again. I blushed once more, I didn't know what to say. He didn't like me thanking him. I gave a small grin, thanking him, in a non speaking way. "Your welcome," he smiled again, understanding me different version of a 'thank you'. We traveled to school-with me having to answer a lot of questions- in under five minutes, because of Zack's extreme driving. "What class do you have now?" he asked me. "Ugh...Maths!" I groaned, walking to my class door. "I'll see you afterwards then, pretty." he chuckled. Was he trying to find every single compliment for me? I sat there and daydreamed during the lesson, until. "Cleo, if B equaled ten point two, what would B times five, plus two-hundred, minus seven dived by 4c equal?" I sat, dumbstruck. "I-uh...I don't know..." I mumbled. "Hmm, I'll let you off on this one, it was quite hard..." Ms. Lee replied. 'quite hard?' I thought to myself. I actually paid attention for the last four minutes, not really learning anything though. As soon as I got out I was greeted by Vicky and Lola. "Hey, what's with you and Zack now, huh?" Vicky hinted. I shrugged back. Lola stared at Sam, all dreamy eyed. "Just go ask him out," I said. Lola blushed. "I'm too shy..." "Come on, your an independent woman! You can ask him!" I expressed. Lola smiled smugly, then bravely skipped up to him. Vicky walked up to Mark and just started chatting away about some homework that they had. So once again I was a loner, great fun(!) "Hello Cleo." I turned around quickly then grinned at the sight. "Hiya, could you pick me up earlier today? I don't want to get in the way of the decorators. They're coming this afternoon, while my dads working late. I don't want to bother them." I said. "Sure, around four then?" Zack fluently spoke. I nodded. The buttons on my jacket jingled as I moved, annoying me quite a lot. "Hiya Zack!" the pale girl yelled. "Oh, hi Cleo! My name is Ruby! And-" "I'm Naima!" the African-American interrupted. The girls both giggled and walked away. "Um, sorry about them they get a bit..excited..." Zack sighed. I naturally strolled to his car and got in. He drove a bit slower for me this time, not causing me to worry as much, however I still kept my eyes on the speedometer. "See you in a bit!" I waved as I unlocked my door. "Bye for now," he said, kissing me gently on my pale cheek. I had a funny, fuzzy feeling inside me. I was falling for him...
