Chapter 1: It was black, nothing but black. I screamed out for help, but no sound came out of my shaken mouth. I thought I heard the sweet sound of my best-friends voice. It soon faded away.
My head told me to let myself die, although who listens to their head in the 21st century? Reluctantly, I scratched at the damp floor, until I was sitting on my butt. Gave a great sigh, then started to rummaged through my soaked handbag, for my mini first aid kit - I was training to be a nurse- I cleaned my wounds and wrapped them up in bandages, ran through my curly, blonde hair with my iced fingers and then put a mint in my dry mouth. My hand reached for my shoes and socks, that had been forced off me, I struggled to my sore feet, after carefully placing my shoes and socks back on. Once I was up, I tightened my red belt, I was skinnier since I had not eaten for days, turned on my torch and started to limp down the hallway. A piercing yell rung through my aching ears, the sound was miles away, however it sounded as if it was right next to me. The yell continued, I followed this sound around the dark, twisting corridors of the unfamiliar warehouse. The death house.
"HELP!!!! SOMEBO-" The voice was interrupted by a horrifying muffled tone. I wished that the voice would have carried on, so I could of found this person and helped them. But I didn't know where they were and I didn't have enough energy to find them. I slumped down onto the freezing floor and cried, I cried until my eyes were hurting and my nose was running, I sighed and tried to remember how I got in the warehouse in the first place. It wouldn't come to mind, I sighed again and blew my nose, I looked deep into my bag to try and find something edible to eat, other than mints. There were two squashed sandwiches, packet of crisps and a mushy apple. I ate one sandwich (saving the other one and the apple for emergencies) then the crisps and popped another mint in my mouth. While limping I fiddled with the torch; to try and make it brighter and carried on down the halls.
I sang a little lullaby to myself, quietly whilst playing with edge of my top. Still wandering around the corridors, I finally found a broken door, but a door non the less. So I went in, to find...Nothing! nothing at all! It scared me that there was no one or nothing in the room, it made me feel colder and lonelier than I already was, and that was not nice at all. To my surprise I actually found a light switch along the wall, turned it on and turned my torch off. There was a coat peg pressed to the side of the baby blue paint with three coats hung on, next to a small hallway. Without hesitation I grabbed the coat that seemed the warmest and shoved it on my cool body, I didn't care whose it was, although as I found out later, NEVER take what isn't yours, without permission in a abandoned warehouse. Still not knowing what could happen, I headed down the hallway and turned my torch on once more. That would be a decision I would soon regret...
Though knowing the all important future, should, but didn't seem so all important at that time, I just wanted to know how I got in that place, who brought me there and why. That was mostly what was going through my mind at that moment, plus where did this hallway lead to?
I was dragging myself in that corridor for at least two hours, such a long place it was. It felt like it would never end. Obviously, it did.
