Have you ever felt grief? Grief is an ocean, drowning you in every sense of the word. It pulls you under, whispering false promises into your ear and then tearing them from your very being. It torments you with the possibility of better things to come, only to laugh in your face and pull you further under. There is no shallow-end if grief, no grey area. It is as dark as a thousand oblivions, with no chance of escape. It is as cruel as a tiger, and every bit as violent. It torments you until you physically can take no more, just to torment you again. Grief throws you into the deep end, your lungs burning as you feel yourself slipping further and further down. But that's probably the most important thing about grief, if you don't beat it, it will kill you.
