My Day

The light shone though my window I survived to see another day I get dressed clean the blood of my hands and face and come down to the breakfast table. Kiss my wife good morning and make the kids their toast then sit happily reading the paper and listen to my kids talk about kid talk. After breakfast my wide gets the kids ready for school and I go out to shed to inspect my tools, I hear the post man dropping the letters at the door so I pop round and give him a hand picking them up while having a quick glance just to be nosey. The wife takes the kids to school I sit with a fresh pit of coffee going over today job, this sounds like an easy day just one guy to put away he's old and frail shouldn't be to much bother so I go take a shower and get the tools I need kiss my wife goodbye she smiles and saids 'have a nice day' I jump in my car and off to the office my assistant gives me my messages and laughs and we reminisce on how bloody that car crash was yesterday. My uniform is clean and pressed for my appointment at 3 o'clock. Now I'm running late, I run up the street and nearly miss him I catch up to him on the corner. Phew I'm glad that's done one more mishap like that and I would have been fired. Home to my wife and kids another day done dinner story time then bed ready for a fresh start tomorrow. Well you know what they say? A grim reapers job is never done.
