Light the lantern,
Flames rise towards the sky,
Inflating the paper,
Making it fly,
Flickering orange,
It floats away,
Make a wish,
For another day,
Yellow and orange,
Contrasting the sky,
Deep blues and blacks,
Until the flame dies,
The amber glow fades,
As it falls to the floor,
And then the glow,
Is no more.
