A week since I saw you,
Since my heart beat so fast,
Unavoidable meeting,
But it's fading at last.
It aches like a hunger,
A physical pain,
Wondering when I might see you again.
Keeping my distance, seemed the right thing to do,
Our love timed so badly,
Hurt more than a few.
But I'll smile at you passing, though it breaks both our hearts,
Please know that I'll love you,
Even if we're apart.
