Seasonal - Autumn
The girl awoke with wet eyes. The sky was clouded and rained down upon her. As she stood up she felt joy in the squelched ground beneath her feet. She started to walk. She started to run and the ground lapped up at her legs but she kept running. Running. Running. She found shelter in a dark cave. There were no flowers in this cave, only mushrooms. Mushrooms are very different to flowers as they rely on darkness rather than light. The girl did not like the dark but she felt it was safer than the rest of the world. Reluctantly she submitted herself to the darkness and mushrooms. Before long the cave started to fill with water and the girl had to rely on the mushrooms to keep her afloat. Eventualy she had to swim below the surface coming up for only seconds at a time for air. She sank deeper and deeper. Death moved closer and closer. The world around her closed in.
