Is it me or has everyone just become selfish? Wrapped up in their own little lives, not a thought for anyone else? From common decency and manners, to concern and affection of some sort towards others? When did these words leave the English language and basic understanding?

Dale Carnegie consistent theme throughout his famous book is how we are all inherently selfish. It's sad but true.
I personally find this surprising: how many university students do volunteering? How many are involved in charities? I have a friend running the marathon yesterday and raising money for a charity. How many of these petiole will keep doing those things once graduated? They do it only because "it looks good on the CV". So yeah I totally agree with u.
