The doorbell woke me up suddenly. I quickly tied on my night gown and brushed down my hair, running down the stairs and opening the door to see... Him. Jonas. Time stood still. I laughed under my breath. He grabbed me by the waist and kissed my cheek. "Hello gorgeous" he murmured softly in my ear. I smiled and tilted my head upwards to bite his lip softly. "Where were you? Last night..." I whispered. He took my hand and led himself inside. I closed the door and followed him to the sofa, where he sat down. He looked up into my eyes. "Sit then" he said, smiling softly. I sat close to him, shifting myself so I could see his face. He looked happy. He leaned in and grabbed my waist again. I put my arms around his neck and our foreheads touched as he looked at me. "I.. Love you" he murmured, his lips quivering. I shushed him. "I know that" I whispered, leaning closer and kissing him softly. He looked at me and grinned. "So what of last night?" he questioned. I sighed in disappointment. I would've much preferred to kiss him than tell him about last night. I sucked in a breath and explained. He stared into my eyes. There was a long pause that lingered in the air. His blue eyes searched my face for something to say. I moved my hand through his medium cut brown hair and with the other hand I caressed his strong, flawless cheeks. His lips quivered once more. "Just two more months. Then we've finished our contract and we can move." Jonas murmured. I smiled and kissed his cheek. "That little cottage. Where we can have a little child." I carried on. Jonas' eyes glistened. "Where I can get a job, and save up the money to finally marry you, Becca." he said soothingly. I smiled and looked down at my engagement ring admiringly. "And finally.. We can get rid of the-" I said, being interrupted by Jonas' soft finger on my lips, gesturing for me to shush. I smile understandingly, and kiss him once more, letting it linger for a moment or two before pulling away, and deciding to get dressed.
