"And then, the Hunter took his silver sword, and ran it into the Vampire Princess" Hiroaki was standing up on his bed, the single candle casting odd shadows as he told the narrative he no doubt was making up. Circe was clutching her blanket, her eyes wide with fright. "What happened? Did Princess Latia live?"

Hiroaki's reply was as Solemn as a death toll. "No. She gurgled on her own blood, for the sword had been blessed by a priest. Blood spilled on to her blue gown, and puddled at her feet. The silver was eating away at her body, purifying it, and then, as if that wasn't bad enough..." Hiroaki lowered his voice, and Circe gave the room a frightened glance. One could never know when a Hunter would pop up. "What happened?" Her voice trembled.

"The Hunter cut her heart out, and ATE it!"

Hiroaki made an eating motion, and Circe squealed, pulling her covers over her head.

Her brother laughed, and laid down, pulling his blankets up to his chin and putting the candle out.

"You sure are easy to scare, Circe"

Normally she would have argued back, but she was trembling under her quilt, imagining the poor Princess watching her heart be devoured by the monstrous Hunter.

A few minutes passed before her shaking voice asked, "H-Hiroaki...are there really such things as Vampire Hunters?"

Though she couldn't see him, her brother shrugged, "I don't believe so. I bet it's just something parents make up so their children won't go outside when the sun is up"

Circe nodded, and stares up at the roof.

He was probably right.
