I fell asleep. I'm a light sleeper nowadays; after what happened. I slid helplessly, into a world of nothing but darkness. It was like I just died- blacked out then and there. This happened often, though. I would just wake up in the morning, totally oblivious of my thoughts that night; last night was different. I awoke panting- sweat dripping from my forehead. Horrifying. I was unsure of what to do that moment. My head was spinning and my heart was beating so fast it hurt. Then it stopped. It all stopped. Everything.
I thought that was the end for me. I thought it was all over- but my eyes opened. I wasn't expecting it. My head hurt and my whole body ached. I looked around the room, only to see four walls of a dark shade of purple. I lay down, staring blankly at the ceiling. I lay there for a while, wondering where I was. I looked to my left, and then to my right. I saw only the same shade of purple as before. But just there, in the very corner of the empty room, was what looked like a pin. It had a symbol on it- some sort of bird. It had something in its beak. The pin was silver; pure silver.
I couldn't think of what it might be there for. A camera maybe? Who knows? I thought about going to take a closer look, but I decided I didn't want to take any risks. I just lay there, waiting for something to happen. Nothing did. As the pain started to calm down, I noticed a very sharp feeling at the bottom of my left arm. I looked down at it and, right in the centre of my left wrist, was an ink drawing of a feather. I was afraid to touch it.
