The bell rings, The choir sings.
The priest calls for hush, We quieten in a rush.
In a world of his own, He gets out his phone.
On his curve blackberry, Sings Katy Perry:
"I want to see your Peacock!" For a moment our eyes lock.
The statue of God frowns, Looking at us clowns.
We're all dancing and swaying, No one thinking of praying.
Next comes LMFAO, Sexy and I know it, off we go.
The old ladies are on the pews, Rosaries forgotten for this muse.
The priest is playing the air guitar, This is the best church by far!
But then, up on the altar, Everything starts to falter.
I wake up with a jolt, Realizing my sinful fault.
Ah well I wistfully sigh, A better service you can't defy!
