Elderly think us irresponsible, Parents think us wild, To each other we are normal, Actions only mild, To teachers we're the future, To me I'm just a child.
To young adults, I'm a 'cheeky monkey', To people who are used to me, I'm original and funky, But why can't I just be me, I am just a child.
To strangers in the street, I'm just one of the young, To friends I vaguely know, I'm the one sticking out their tongue, But sincerely let me live, I am just a child.
