One name: Margaret Thatcher.
She's the reason Britain's failing, The reason to all the jobless people, The reason to all the pensioners money gone, The reason to tax increases, The reason to a lot.
And I don't personally know her, And I wasn't around when she was boss, And fair enough, She might be a pretty nice lady, But to throw the country in a trash can, You must be somewhat of an idiot.
And I'm sorry Margaret, If your reading this, But you should know, I truly dislike your soul.
You shut the Steelworks, Where everyone worked, We were known for the best steel in the world, And you threw it away. That pride. That dignity. You just threw it away...
And Nick, And David, If your reading this, Reopen the Steelworks, Because that's where the money is. That's where the jobs are. That's where pride is. That's where people belong.
Can't you see? Are you blind? The Steelworks. We need it back. You can't tear our pride, But you tore your own by shutting the Steelworks...
