After a long time in the bedroom we all came out. We were starving and I felt like doing something, other than watch TV, so I decided I'd make a loaf cake. Only from a cake mix, nothing special really. Dom and Beth were chatting as they walked up to me. "Hey, can we join in?" Dom asked. "Well you could-but there'd be barely anything to do." I replied. "Pointless then." they both sighed and went to sit back down on the sofa.I HAD to give them something to do-I thought as I washed my hands... Aha! That was it! We had three cake mixes-so everyone could make one! "Hey, you two! You can make a cake!" I shouted. They both rushed to my side. "Where's the mixes?" said Beth excitedly. I dived my head into the cupboard and pulled out three mixes. Chocolate Brownie, Toffee Fudge and Cookie Dough. "Look, I'm really not bothered which one I get- so pick one." I said. Beth grabbed the Cookie Dough as soon as she saw it and began to cradle it like a baby-laughing at how crazy she must look- which she really did look quite funny! Dom picked up Toffee Fudge and I was left with my favourite: Chocolate Brownie! I was a chef so I had lots of cooking equipment-I got out three large bowls, three electric mixers, three loaf tins, a measuring jug and oil. We washed our hands and began...

Instantly, there was a disaster-Beth had opened her mix and dropped it upside down. That was just typical Beth! Now we had to try and get all the powdery substance back into the bowl! After a good five minutes we had cleared it up and we could carry on. Dom and I opened our mixes and emptied it into our bowls. Then I began measuring out water, I gave Beth the water and she carefully poured it in-without spilling it! Then Dom and lastly me! Beth wanted to do the next step which was to measure the oil out-I told her it wasn't a good idea-but she wouldn't listen! And guess what happened? She went and spilt all the bottle down her! And it was new too so there was a lot of oil in it! Dom fell to his knees and began wiping some of it off the floor, I ran over to Beth and told her to go and change before it went all over the furniture. She ran to the bedroom. "OMG! That floor is bloody expensive!" I yelled before also falling to my knees. Things were going from bad to worse... Beth came back in and saw the mess on the floor-she was shellshocked. "OMG! I'm sorry! Sorry sorry sorry sorry!" she screamed before getting on her hands and knees with me and Dom to clean up the mess. In a couple of minutes the mess was gone and out came the electric mixes... Now Beth and one of those in the same room was hazardous-you mind in her hand! Though, still, she picked it up and was about to put it to work when Dom snatched it off her. "Beth, you can't do this. It'll end up covering the walls." Dom said sternly. Beth looked hurt. "Ok then, but let me help you." Dom sympathized. I turned on the mixer and awaited disaster, but it didn't come... Dom gently guided Beth to not take it in and out so it wouldn't splatter all over. Eventually, after a long explanation, Beth understood and begin to properly mix the mixture. Me and Dom continued with ours and soon we were all finished. I begin lifting my bowl high in the air so all the mix would go into the tin, Dom copied. Dom did his first and turned to help Beth. Together him and Beth lifted the bowl and emptied it in the tin. I completed mine last and then we all put them into the oven together.

After an hour our cakes were ready to come out. One by one we carefully took them out and placed them on the side to cool for five minutes. Five minutes passed and we emptied out our cakes onto a cooling rack. Soon they were cool so we cut off a big chunk of each and ate away! By now it was 11pm, but we didn't care, this was supper! After eating large chunks of scrummy cake we were tired and fell to sleep at about 12am on the sofa.
