Most scientists and most people agree love exists.
That they have felt it, love, something strong that persists.
But who has ever physically seen the substance, this thing?
Instead of stating it's 'feeling' a certain emotion or aching?
A thing called love? Love from the hearts that just pumps.
A muscle that is all it is, something that beats and in our chest and thumps.
And yet love, the thin thing that has motivated such a great proportion of human actions for eons?
Remains elusive, one of sciences greatest mysteries or it could be said cons?
Who has ever measured weighed or dissected love?
I'm sure many have dissected the heart itself, scientists or doctors with numerous pieces of equipment like scalpel and glove.
And yet it is not proven, found or yet even seen.
Something thin a word used umpteen.
Who has loaded it into a computer verified it's reliability in a laboratory?
Or is the word love an unexplainable emotional story?
Has it a warrant of authenticity?
To prove it is something real, something we can actually see?
Or an official certificate of origin?
To validate where it may start or where to begin?
Has anyone ever described it as a chemical or muscular structure?
Or do we allow ourselves to be subjugated to a mental stimulant that our bodies refer?
It is still inconclusive whether it is the mind that provides this so called 'feeling'.
This strange existence of love, this unusual thing?
And yet humanity, mankind will do for this word so much.
Will continue to give all for something never seen, that no one can touch......
