Songs. They remind me of so much... Times gone by; the good, the bad, the funny, the serious.
This is why to me, music is a precious necessity of life.
It encapsulates entire chapters of our lives in it's melodies, riffs and lyrics!
Take the time (many years ago, obviously,) I was listening to Eminem on a school outward bound visit; whenever I hear that song on the radio now, it's almost as if I'm back sitting on the banks of that sparkling lake.
Or take the time I lay in the middle of a field with my girlfriend on a warm summers day, listening to You Me At Six, only to awake hours later when it was pitch black!
I could go on, listing off hundreds of my favourite bands and artists, but there's no point in that. My point is simple. Music is something we should cherish. It is a gift. It is a beautiful form of art which comes in many styles - from classical to post-hardcore - of which we should all warmly embrace and adopt into our lives.
Music is monumental.
