I will remain, to those petty fools from school, the moustache bearing silent girl. That one over there, sitting by herself because she looks like a boy and has the social skills of a dead toad.
I will remain, to my beautiful friends, a source of confidence. As none of them are as strange or weird as me.
I will remain, to my parents, the failure in there perfect lives. The girl in place of the male that they so wanted.
I will remain, to my aunts, the stranger one of the family. The one not quite like the rest.
I will remain, to myself, the way I have done for the last 17 years. A failure, a freak, and the weirdest of the lot.
