"I stand alone," I said.
"Because then, no matter what, I won't fall. If no one can come near me; how can I fall for anyone?" For her, it was odd, not even letting someone, into your thoughts, nor anyone, anyways.
"Why?"
Though obvious, she appeared to want my answer.
"I'm scared. What if she doesn't want me? What if all the time I spend thinking about her is wasted?"
"How can time spent thinking of someone special be wasted? Even if she doesn't feel the same way, you learn. You get better; you get more fluent at life."
"I want that one person who wants to stay until I ask her to go... But I can't hope for that."
"Just try... Everything anyone can ever expect of someone, is that they try."
"But what if it doesn't work out?"
She leaned close to me, and smiled as she whispered;
"Ah, but what if it does?"
