Everyone thinks the opposite Of light, is dark, I know.
But on the eve of march 15th I proved the answer's "no".
My boots had mud, stains and crud As I was walking fast
To catch a train to heather lane Before my time had passed.
As plain as day, I find my way, But for reasons unknown go off course
I venture into lands that seem to Drop into dark remorse
The grass is dead, deer underfed, The sky is bruised and grey.
But i trudge on, through gloomy dawn, Seeking more then one way.
I stop and stare, the land is bare, The hills drop into a fall.
With jagged rocks, and water that mocks, A green, bubbling, cauldron of a call!
I slowly back away, to run back to day, But yet, i can't find the path.
The lights retreating, is my heart beating? I feel the darkness's wrath.
I fall and tumble, an endless rumble, of thunder and dark things to come.
I spin and turn, never to learn, Were this darkness had ever come from...
