The beautiful lie of this world Is magnificent It is the goodness Of humankind That we tell ourselves. It is the perfection Of society That we mistakenly believe. It is the sparking flame Of life That we gaze at in false hope.
But I know the utterly painful truth. It is evils of the world The demons behind the mask The corruption and filth On this heavenly body The ashy smoke of death That envelopes everything Around it While the tiny flame still burns A beautiful lie.
