Chapter 1: Umm.. Hi. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

(Sorry it's so short!)

"Friday? Friday?" Calls a distant voice in my ear, I fall softly back to earth and raise my eyes to meet my managers. "Yes Sir?" I grumble wiping the inside of a coffee cup that's glistening with soapy bubbles. "Weren't you listening to a word I just said?" He smiles making lines appear around his mouth and eyes. "No I'm afraid not sir." I look Mr Jones up and down. Hairs thinning, huge beer belly, yellowish teeth and nails. But a kind looking face, one that you could trust. "Would you like to know what I said?" "Is it important?" I smile picking up another cup and starting to clean it. "I guess you could say that..." "Hmmm.... Ok then" "I'm promoting you to being a waitress!" He exclaims loudly. I put a fake smile on my face and nod enthusiastically. I'm so good at acting, I act happiness every day. "Great! Thank you so much Mr Jones! I won't let you down." "I know you won't. Have the rest of the day off, I know that your probably a little upset, your recent break-up and all" he pats me on the shoulder and walks off to his dingy office. Great how does he know about my personal life? Yep I've just broken up with my longest lasting relationship, 6 years and a few months! God I loved that guy, he didn't love me though, cheated on me for 2 years. Didn't have the guts to tell me though. The only person I really have now is Magic my Labrador, me and Jack (cheater) got her when we moved in together. She lives with me in my little flat in Bristol. I guess you should know about me, not that you already don't. I'm called Friday Moon (yeah my parents were hippies.) I'm 19 years old, live on my own except for Magic, have a 3 bedroom flat with all the essentials, it's a good hangout. Blue eyes, full red lips, pale snowy skin, long straight black hair that runs down to my waist, my eye lashes are the same night black colour as my hair. I'm reasonably tall, normal for a 19 year old. Slim. I don't particularly like life, ever since the whole break-up. I don't have any friends that I've kept in touch with, so yep, I'm a loner. I work at a small cafe, Nanchos. It's a Mexican and I used to be a washer up. But now, woopy doo, I'm a waitress! I work five days a week, Monday until Friday, 8am to 7pm. That's about it really. There isn't anything amazing about my life.

Back in the changing rooms I undress and slip into my normal clothes, pack my shoulder bag and walk out the door shoving in my headphones in my ears and turning the volume up as loud as possible. I walk my way to the flat and get greeted by Magic who playfully pounds on me. At least I have her in my life.
