Maybe Love Isn't At First Sight Pt19

-6:10 am-
I woke up to the sounds of excited screaming from Ria and Ellie,
"Daisy wake up!!!" they squealed, I just rolled over and snuggled up to Josh he embraced me sleepily
"gezz get a room you two!" said Ellie tutting
"we have one, but your in it!" I said sleepily I felt Josh's lips trace my neck
"Urgh come on guys! Not good!" said Ria I felt Josh's smug smile appear on his face, they were always competing for me Ria told me so!
"fine you have ten minutes to umm do what you like but then you HAVE to get up ok?" said Ellie I saw Ria nodding in agreement
"mmmh- hmm" I mumbled between Josh's kisses. They scurried out the room to go and get my dress ready,
"so today's the big day!" I said lying back down
"yep, you got cold feet yet?"
"no, not here its too warm"
"it defiantly is" he said sighing, I traced a little spiral around the palm of his hand. I suddenly remembered that I had something for him, I sprang up and pulled a top on
"where you going?" he asked sounding disappointed
"to get your wedding present, I know it's meant to be for later but no one will know!" I pulled out a large parcel and lay back next to him placing it on his lap
"it's huge!" he exclaimed
"I know, hope you like it" what if he didn't? What if he hated it so much he burnt it? Urgh he's gonna hate it I know he will, oh no! He's opening it now, fuck he's seen it,
"whoa! That's amazing Daisy, did you do this?" he pulled out the huge painting I did of the harbour with the two people in it, I saved it from our flat but kept it under my bed at Josh's
"yep, it's our first date" I said pointing to the two people
"thanks, it's perfect!"
"thought it would look nice somewhere in your house, so that you remember me when I go back to my flat" I said smiling sadly, I should probably go back because Josh needed his space
"what? Your staying with me"
"really?! Oh yay,thank you" I said grinning and kissing him happily
"well I guess I should give you your present now."
"no you don't need to get me a present, well you do but thanks!" I stumbled, he walked over to the wardrobe and pulled out a small box
"I know it's not much but I thought it be perfect on you" he said handing me the box, it was purple velvet with red ribbon wrapped around it, I carefully unwrapped it wanting to keep the box as well as the present inside. I opened the box to find a beautiful bracelet, I was a silver chain with blue sapphires encrusted on it, there were thin blocks of silver that where painted light and dark blue, the paint was glossy so that meant it was enamelled. There were circular spirals in the paint. It was beautiful, there were also a pair of turquoise earrings to go with it,
"Josh these are absolutely beautiful!" I gasped
"thought you would like it" he said, a proud grin playing around on his lips
"hold on how much were these?" I asked he shouldn't of spent loads on me he had already bought me a car,
"umm don't worry about that..."
"no we're a couple now"
"fine all together they were £155 the earrings were only a tenner...."
"oh god you spent way to much on me!"
"oh well, you'll just have to put up with it" he said while putting the bracelet around my wrist. Ellie and Ria burst in the room,
"come on- ohh that's nice...." said Ellie looking at my bracelet and earrings
"the joys of being married!" said Ria pulling me away from Josh to help me get dressed, Josh brushed his lips against mine just before I left the room. Ria took me to her room where my dress was placed I gasped at how pretty it was, it was a pearly white colour which would show off my new tan. It was strapless and came with gloves that went up to the elbow. The waist line had tiny pearls and minuscule shells from the beach, the bottom of it didn't have a train so it was easy to walk down the aisle in. Just under the waist line there where some rubies that you couldn't see but the sun would make the shine!
"wow it so lovely" said Ria with a small tear in her eye!
"hmm it is, I'm so jealous!" said Ellie, I didn't see why I mean she had Connor! I slipped into the dress, it fitted perfectly I suddenly realised that they would hate my shoes
"umm make up now!" I said leading them away from my shoes. They put some mascara, eye shadow, eye liner, lip gloss on I didn't want any foundation and they agreed with me. Ria held up a bottle of perfume and sprayed some on me, it smelt faintly of roses with a hint of jasmine, it was nice compared to most perfumes
"shoes now!!!" squealed Ellie, her main accessory, she had about 50 pairs at home, I showed them my shoes
"Urgh Daisy! I told you to get wedding like shoes!"
"sorry I thought they were just to lovely!" I said, they where a white pair of converse, with sequins placed on them, the black line was now gold. The laces had lines of silver streaks weaved into them
"okay I guess they are pretty nice, what do you think Ria?" said Ellie sternly
"hmm well I don't think there for weddings, but I know Josh would love them, do wear them!" she said, I smiled at her gratefully and slipped them on,
"wow, you look amazing!" said Ellie and Ria, they finally let me look in the mirror and I had to admit that that I did look nice,
"oh my god I can't believe I'm actually going to do this!." I said sitting down and breathing deeply
"well you are and we need to go to the beach now!" said Ria excitedly. A car came to pick us up. It was a white sleek land-rover! I stepped in carefully so did Ellie and Ria, we were all trying not to rip our dresses. Ellie and Ria were my braid maids, they had maxi dresses that were a light blue it was quite faint but there where like mine tiny shells along the waist line. We all looked lovely according to Ria! The drive was very short so we didn't have time to have a last minute nap, not that we needed one we had all slept amazingly!
"we're here!" I said pointing towards the beach, it turned out there where loads of people that came, all the clan, I saw Ian talking to Josh, I guess he was coming! Our parent were there and all of my old friends, workers of the olive shed and surprisingly 15 random Greek people! They were all sitting in white benches that were covered in exotic flowers, Josh stood under a ark that had a grape bush hanging over it. He was wearing a black jacket and posh dark blue jeans, he wore a casual T-Shirt under his jacket, he looked Luke the perfect husband! He also had trainers on, black and green high-tops, I smiled smugly at Ellie and Ria who were glaring at his shoes! I stepped out the car and everyone stood up
"hi Daisy!" shouted Iris a little 10 year old I used to look after as a baby, she was quickly told off by her mum but I waved at her and her sister Violet. I walked down the aisle arm in arm with my grandad Geoff, I wanted him to give me away because according to him he was going to die in a few months, so he wanted to make the most of life....? He passed me over to Josh and kissed me on the cheek
"don't forget me hunny" he said as he walked to his chair.
"I stood next to Josh the priest Nickos said the ceremony in English but his Greek accent made it spun more romantic,
"do you Josh Chambers take the lovely Daisy Andrews to be you wedded wife?" he said takeoff our hands
"I do" Josh said looking at me and smiling
"do you Daisy Andrews take the devilishly handsome Josh Chambers to be your husband?" I laughed either the priest was gay or Josh told him to put that in!
"I do" I said now taking Josh's hand
"well then I now pronounce you man and wife!" he said patting us both on the shoulders, Josh plunged into a kiss which I found embarrassing on front of our parents and friends but after awhile I forgot about them. We were in our own little world, I never wanted to let go of him,
"I love you Daisy" said Josh between kisses, I smiled
"your meant to say so do I" said Josh laughing but I couldn't reply I was entranced in his eyes.... And lips.
"come on you two! You have plenty of time to do that later!" shouted Ian I broke away from Josh to find millions of people wanting to congratulate us they all hugged me and said words of wisdom on life and so on! My mum pulled me out of the crowd, I thought she was going to congratulate me like Dad did
"I'm very disappointed in you Daisy" she said frowning
"what? Why?"
"you have married the man that made you want to kill yourself! He is an evil demon and will surely kill you later in life" I felt anger building in my body
"God! I love Josh more than anything, why can't you just be happy for us?"I asked upset now
"I don't think I should be happy, and who made your dress?" he asked looking me up and down
"a lovely Greek woman" I said pointing briefly to the woman who was hugging Josh and congratulating him
"she should burn in hell! She has ruined your day, your dress is disgusting and your wedding, it is a disgrace to the family" I stared at her, my own mum? How could she say this? My perfect day.... Well it was. I felt a tear run down my cheek
"Urgh don't cry you little baby!" she said
"don't you dare! I love Josh he's my life, the wedding dress and day is perfect! Just because yours wasn't good doesn't mean you can try to make mine terrible!" I said upset more fat tears rolling down my face, I felt a arm wrap around my shoulder
"what wrong?" asked Josh everyone had stopped talking and was looking at the weeping bride
"your the problem! My daughter should be married to someone else! This is a crap wedding, dress and husband!" mum shouted as us
"she is no you daughter anymore" I heard Mick say (the dress maker)
"what did you say?" mum glared at Mick's wrinkled but beautiful face
"she is no your daughter! She deserve better dan you!" she said shuffling towards me
"I will take you under my wing child, if you wish?" I had no choice my real mum hated my husband wedding and everything that mattered to me, I nodded at her and hugged Mick
"well I'm glad your gone! Oh by the way you were an accident!" screamed mum "come on Charlie" Charlie was my dad, he never said much
"no" he said
"what" mum said slowly
"no, I will not come, you have ruined my life I'm leaving and staying here to help look after the island" he sad moving towards me and Mick, mum just glared ad turned away, she walked to the car and sped off. I fell Ito Josh's arms and cried he took me to a small hidden cove,
"don't worry she just don't like me" he said smoothing my back
"ok, you look amazing" I said sitting down on a rock, Josh say next to me
"hmm so do you!" he said
"like my shoes?"
"haven't seen them your dress covers them up" I lifted up my dress so that he could see my trainers, he laughed
"amazing!"
"can't wear heels"
"who would want to?"
"Ria"
"oh yeah, come on let's go and say hi to people before we go to the party and then our honeymoon" he winked at me and pulled me towards the crowd of worried looking people, but when they saw us laughing and smiling they all brightened up and started to greet and congratulate us, again!
