I woke up at 5 due to pains in my feet and hands but mostly around my jaws and teeth. I guess that it was just the downside to being on brink of transforming. I slumped out of bed and down there stairs sleepily,
"morning" said mum, a wonderful smell came from the frying pan,
"what's in there?" I asked pointing towards the pan,
"bacon!" she said flipping the sizzling meat onto a place along with beans, toast, tomatoes and hash browns!
"Mum, its only school today, nothing special!" I said as the ginormous plate was placed in front of me,
"turning into a proper wolf is special!" oh yeah I forgot about that! I grunted and started to eat the feast in front of me. A few minutes later I had finished,
"amazing mum! Thanks!" I said making my way upstairs
"good luck today love" she said.
I went and got dressed into my school uniform :P and swung my canvas bag over my shoulder. I rushed out the door just in time for the school bus. I got on and instantly felt a strange power looming over me, I guess that was my senses kicking in! Everything around me was much clearer and louder, oh my god! I could hear what people were whispering or hear people from really far away! Cool!!!! I walked to the back of the bus in excitement of my new powers, I slumped down to the bestest friend ever, Bleddyn,
"hi, you look excited about something?" he said in his amazing Welsh accent
"hmm I am!" I couldn't tell Bleddyn about what I was bus I could defiantly lie I guess?
"Well what is it?" he asked,
"none of your bees wax!" I laughed, he smiled his amazing smile at me an laughed at me. He put on his Doctor Beat headphones and closed his eyes to listen to the music, I looked at him still smiling, his golden hair was slightly shining in the sun, his long dark eyelashes brushing his under eye. I had always had a little bit of a crush on Bleddyn and you would see why if you saw him! The bus stopped out side our tiny school, it was ok but not amazing. We walked off the bus chatting until Samantha, Hannah and India came along and started to talk to Bleddyn,
"hey Bleddyn! You look nice today!" said India fluttering her eyelashes and pouting slightly,
"hmm mmh" replied Bleddyn, he had never liked them or ever thought about dating one of them!
"Why do you hang out with that smelly farmer girl?" scoffed Samantha
"I dunno, why do I Mads?" Bleddyn asked me a smile playing around on his lips,
"umm err well, umm" I stammered
"well?" snorted Hannah
"because she's my friend that why" said Bleddyn helping me out of the situation that he had got me in. We walked away and towards the school doors that lead into the corridors. All of a sudden a short blonde haired girl jumped in front of us,
"hi Fi" (Fiona) I greeted her as she smiled at us both,
"hi, any news?" she whispered
"huh? Oh no sorry" I apologised, Fiona was obsessed with fairies and believe strongly in them. Lately she had made me, Bleddyn and Harry search for them.
"Where's Harry?" asked Bleddyn looking around,
"I think he's ill today" said Fi sadly
"oh we'll you'll have to put up with us two" I said punching him in the shoulder, he punched me back, will loads more force that I nearly tripped over. We all laughed and walked to lesson, me and Bleddyn talking and Fi stuck in a book called:
'How to find and capture mythical creatures!'
I held in a burst of laughter and kept walking until we got to class. We all sat down at the back so that we could whisper quietly, well me and Bleddyn anyway! It was a shame me and Bleddyn were great friends, but Harry and Fiona didn't really seem to like him much, it was like he was a bad smell or something... I felt another one of my powers kick in, all of a sudden everyone in the room had a trail of colour behind them, their scents! I looked over to Bleddyn but saw something different, the sent was like me, mum and Dad, wolf. All the colours vanished suddenly and I guessed that they would only appear if I wanted them to? But what was wrong with Bleddyn's? He was human or mum and dad would of smelt him on our territory and well got him! No I must be imagining it, don't worry about it Maddy it's nothing probably, just your imagination.
"Maddy, Maddy, Maddy" said an annoying voice
"WHAT?" I shouted angrily, I looked up and saw Mr Riggins looking at me shocked and the whole class staring at me,
"I mean yes sir"
"hmm" he glared at me angrily. Next to me I heard Bleddyn chuckle quietly, I kicked him hard.
"ouch!" he whispered, I smiled smugly at him in response! The next few lessons went by quickly but I found myself getting angrier and more annoyed with everyone around me, I kept getting different feelings and my new found senses had a mind of their own apparently! At lunch I was at my worst,
"Mads what's up?" asked Fi frowning
"urgh nothing go read your stupid fairy book and leave me alone" I snapped, she looked at me sadly and walked away into the school hall,
"What's wrong?" asked Bleddyn now,
"nothing! I'm fine! Just don't feel good that's all" I said truthfully
"oh, wanna go for a walk?"
"no, I'm just gonna sit down and.." I felt a searing pain shoot through my body, I knew that I was going to transform, I had to leave! "sorry Bleddyn I got to go, see ya!" I said in a pained voice. I jumped out of my seat and through the door to outside. There was a large forest surrounding the school, if I got there I would be safe. I ran feeling my wolf speed kick in, I got to the forest quickly and I automatically kept running just so I was well hidden. I sat down on a rock next to the river wondering what would happen, pain kept running through me but nothing was happening. I sat there for at least five minutes until I felt the change. All the veins in my arms started to turn a brownish colour, my nail began to grow longer and sharper, I was standing now as I felt a soft brown coat of fur grown from my skin, my mouth became a snout and my teeth became fangs. I crouched on the floor and felt my body turn into a wolf's.
It had ended. I crawled over to the water to see my reflection, instead of a 14 year old girl and wolf stood sheepishly looking at its face. My eyes were a mustardy yellow like the moon on a summers night. There was crack behind me and I turned my head slowly around, there standing as if nothing had ever happened was Bleddyn. He stood smiling at me, I looked at him, my senses were right he was like me! A wolf! I knew because of his eyes, yellow like mine but he was still human...
"Cool." was all he said.
