The rest of the day went very slowly. As I sat in mathematics (before lunch) I couldn't stop thinking of Edward winking at me, I didn't know if he was joking or being serious and actually flirting with me?! I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder bringing me back to earth, Eloise was smiling at my desk, I looked down and saw a little folded piece of paper. I unwrapped it quietly trying to be sneaky so I wouldn't be caught! 'Saw Edward and you this morning, ;) Don't you think Mr Thee is sooo dreamy?' I smiled and wrote a reply saying, 'I guess he is! And do you think Edward likes me?" I passed it back to Eloise. Once she read it she smiled and nodded. "Miss Smith, can you answer this question? As you've been paying soo much attention?" Mr Thee raised his brown eyebrows at me. He had chestnut hair, blue eyes and was about 21 and like Eloise said very dreamy! "Yes sir well...." I looked at the question on the board " It's 172 sir" "hmm yes...well done. Eyes on the board people" he turned back to the sums and I chuckled to myself, at my old school I was best at maths and English some people would call me a nerd but most would just respect me! The bell went and the whole of the class streamed out of the class in a hurry to escape. I walked out with Eloise slowly so we could glance back at Mr Thee who was doing to arm stretches we went outside to sit down and take in some fresh air. People from every year was sitting or standing around, I scanned the crowd for Edward or any of his friends. I was successful! "I'm going to go and see Amy, see you later!" Said Eloise standing up, "Oh ok" I sighed and Eloise ran over to a stubby looking girl who smiled at me. I decided to go and see Edward and his friends. When I got to the little circle of boys they all stopped talking and smiled at me, "Hi" I smiled kindly, "Hey sweetie pie" said a freckled boy with short sandy hair, "Sure.." I frowned slightly and straightened my posture making myself taller than usual. "What you doin' round 'ere? " he said in a cockney accent, "Well I know Edward so I just came to say hello" "Oh, well he ain't 'ere at the moment " he smirked at something behind me, I turned around and only saw a huddle of first years. "Where is he?" I asked, "How should I know!? He disappears sometimes, dunno where he goes but it ain't at school" "Oh I'll see you around then" I started to walk away but the boy took hold of my arm gently which made a chill run down my spine. I was hardly ever touched by a boy, sad I know but no-one would know! "What?" I snapped unexpectedly "sorry, what do you want?" I said with a more kind voice, "Well you never told me your name" "Oh Janie Smith, you?" "Chuck Lippin" "See you around... Chuck" "You can always stay with us sweety, we won't bite" he raised his eyebrows at me, "No thanks" I said walking away. I couldn't help but wonder where Edward went at lunchtimes? Maybe I would question him tomorrow as we both walked to school. Oh wait it was Saturday tomorrow! You see new people only did a Friday for their first day! Maybe I'll have to visit his house, wherever it is...
